How 200+ martial artists in the last year have built massive gas tanks, explosive power, nutrition strategies that make fight week safer, and daily life more tolerable with 1-on-1 online coaching, testing and custom support.
Once you're selected and secured for the next coaching intake, you'll be assigned your first S&C testing session and In depth questionnaire so that The Combat Engine Coaches can formulate your initial meal plan + Nutrition resources and S&C plan suited to your schedule, body, and performance improvement needs. You'll have direct access to us through your 1 on 1 chat in the app and throughout the journey the video analysis, access to endless resources and accountability through the check in process will guide you to exactly where you want to be as a martial artist over the next 6-12 months. You're covered for Off/On Camp, injury protocols, and all changes in priorities with us!
Although our philosophy at The Combat Engine is long term growth after months of consistency, you can see in the testimonials above a fair few of our athletes see great results in the first 2-3 weeks, if not instantly, after they figure out they are drastically under fuelling and training with no intent or structure. Once the system is implemented, you'll never look back!
Yes, a fair chunk of the athletes on the roster don't plan to ever compete, or are done with competing, and just want to focus on their health, longevity, body composition and have someone plan their performance goals step by step!
We tend to stray away from working with athletes who are after a quick fix, because that's not how this works. The best martial artists you look up to are working with S&C and Nutrition coaches YEAR ROUND. With The Combat Engine, the same philosophy applies and the best results you've seen from us come from commitment to improvement year round.
I get it, you may only rely on sponsors or have a fight randomly booked in, in that case just assume you'll be fighting again after that fight regardless, and sell the idea to your sponsors that working with a coach longer term (8+ weeks MINIMUM) is better for your growth as an athlete.
To date, the only "Once off fight camps" we have accepted were 6week, 8 week, 11 week, 14 week and 16 week camps out of 300+ clients. 3 of those fighters moved on to work with us for a longer period and 2 more fights afterwards due to the benefits they had seen.
We have an active roster of youth martial artists that we help, but as mentioned above we only accept martial artists that are 18+ years old, unless clear guardian/sponsorship permission is provided, with those assisting youth athletes being required to join the initial consultation.
I travel for weight cuts and fight week preparation so long as total costs are covered by the athlete, but the majority of our successful weight cuts are facilitated through the online systems/resources and custom guidance.
Having helped athletes in over 20 different countries globally by guiding them, their team mates or anyone around them to help make weight, refuel and compete safely.
Regarding S&C, the same theme applies and all of the amazing feedback you see above from the long scroll come from the online training system. In the event you are based where we are (Melbourne Australia) or travel lines up well, extra in person assessment can be organised with extra investment! Coach Kyz personally loves getting training in with his athletes.
An investment will be required to work with us of course, but what we do is very custom to the martial artist/athlete in front of us. To uphold quality coaching we only offer a small range of services but typically, if you're working a stable job, you come from a western country and you understand how much more expensive it is to do this alone by juggling free info online, and continue to deal with the same gas tank/energy level struggles, then we have an option for you. If you've booked in, taken the time to watch the testimonials, just be ready to invest in yourself... we can help on the investment/package side, but what we can't help is adamance to be in your own way! We have amazing testimonials for a reason 👊
The ONLY way you won't see improvements in your gas tank, energy levels, power. and overall performance.. is if you don't check in weekly, you ghost us completely, ask no questions, submit no training videos, never log your food, follow the plan and simple never communicate.
With an average touch point from successful athletes that work with us of 2-3 written or voice messages a week, the check in form submitted and training videos submitted from each session, that's literally all it takes to see improvements.
We specialise with approval from relevant professionals, in assisting in rehab of many musculoskeletal injuries, through the tailoring process, and the mindset of continual improvement regardless of the situation. For example we have helped athletes Zaane (NZD), Vincent (GER) and Zayd (AUS) deal with 3 different types of hand injuries in the last year among many other shoulder (Chirag), Knee (Roland) and back injuries.
Whether you come to us with an underlying issue that you can seem to get on top of, or you unfortunately injure yourself in a fight or in training... rest assured we will adapt the plan as there is ALWAYS something we can do instead of falling victim to the situation. You'd be surprised at how well you can maintain your physical qualities even when injured if you adapt the plan well enough.... Think about the time you can spend working on refining your nutrition related skills too!
That's exactly why you're hiring us! Imagine the time you save not having to research the best S&C layouts for combat sports, how to peak, how to manage body composition, how to meal plan, what calories you should be on etc....
We have athletes that are time both rich and time poor, and we mould the plan to suit them fully. A notable example of this is our athlete Wali Nazif (NZD), He runs a business full time, has a family and trains/competes in MMA... does he have time to do 3x 1.5hr sessions like some of our athletes? NO. Does that mean we pull the pin on any S&C or nutrition planning? NO. He completes 2-3 30 min S&C sessions a week that tick all the boxes, and his nutrition structure is a hybrid approach of cooked versus minimal cooking meals which helps him make weight easily, and fuel well in the "Off season".

Step 1 - Initial assessment
We design a personalised S&C and/or Nutrition protocol that meets you where you are at. Once you join the team, your homework over the next 3-4 days includes a thorough S&C testing protocol and an in depth questionnaire which helps us generate the best possible plan for you.
Step 2 - Programming/technique analysis
What use is a program, if you don't know if your INTENTION and technique are on point. You may have been here already, you bought a PDF online that marketed to you perfectly, but when you hit the weight room, you have this overwhelming thought that your technique could be off, adding yet another stress that takes away from focusing on skills practice. At the Combat engine, you are given thorough technique feedback, program adjustments that cater to your in camp or out of camp experience.
Step 3 - Sustainability
The best results in athletic performance occur over a LONG period, but that period you can get better in, will be excessively long if you juggle all of this yourself... The compounding effects of making weight safely, getting stronger and fitter over time, and shifting priorities where needed, under professional guidance, will be the thing that takes you further ahead than the average fighter.
Having consistent support with your coaches, weekly check ins, and monitored progress... will ensure you are getting further ahead, while keeping the flame alive to compete or just become a weapon long term.
Having personally competed in 6 full muay thai rules amateur fights, and working closely with athletes both in person and online for the past 6 years.. I have seen the noise a lot of martial artists have to sift through to find sound S&C and nutrition protocols that suit them. Noticing this gap, I used my knowledge to create The Combat Engine.
If you can close the gap between who you are now as an athlete, and that future version of you who is a general weapon, or a dominant force in the ring, take the chance, because this is a young mans game.
I was an overweight powerlifter with horrible blood pressure not too long ago, but using my knowledge and experience helping fighters, the methods used help bring me back to health and high performance, and I know we can help you do the same, without the annoying mistakes.
